This remote position offers the flexibility of working from your home base while remaining an integral part of our outpatient services team in Olathe, Kansas. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health statuses, considering their emotional, behavioral, and social needs.

• Devise tailored treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic modalities to address specific issues such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and more.

• Engage clients in regular therapy sessions—both virtual and telephone—providing them the tools and coping strategies necessary for personal growth and recovery.
\n
• Maintain detailed records of all client interactions in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and best practices in confidentiality.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other healthcare providers, to create comprehensive care plans for clients requiring additional support.
\n
• Utilize crisis intervention techniques skillfully, offering immediate assistance to clients in acute distress.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse client population, including individuals experiencing anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and substance use challenges. We aim to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, valuing the unique backgrounds and experiences of our clients. Effective treatment relies on understanding cultural factors that influence mental health, and our counselors are expected to approach every client with sensitivity and inclusiveness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a valid and current license as an LCPC, LMFT, LCMFT, or LCSW-C in the state of Kansas.
\n
• A minimum of four years of clinical experience working with a range of mental health disorders and different patient demographics.
\n
• Proficiency in the use of electronic health record systems and familiarity with telehealth technologies.
\n
• Strong understanding of various treatment methodologies and a commitment to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality in all aspects of practice.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with group therapy methodologies and the ability to deliver sessions that emphasize inclusivity and cultural competence.

• Demonstrated success in developing treatment plans that yield positive outcomes for clients of diverse backgrounds.

• Previous experience in a telehealth setting is highly advantageous, as is familiarity with crisis intervention protocols.

Compensation and Benefits\n
