Capstan Tax Strategies is looking for a talented R&D Tax Project Manager! Join a collaborative team and play a crucial role in handling clients' research and development (R&D) tax credit initiatives. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter with high energy, a passion for helping others, and a commitment to making a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate mastery of the R&D study process from start to finish.
\n
• Independently manage client files within scope and budget while overseeing file progress for managers.
\n
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, lawyers, CPAs, and MBAs to analyze technical data and create client value.
\n
• Analyze confidential financial and technical data for tax credit qualification.
\n
• Ensure projects are delivered on time using strong project management skills.
\n
• Draft and review comprehensive technical reports and deliverables to support tax credit claims.
\n
• Leverage expertise in R&D tax credits to guide both clients and team members in best practices.
\n
• Assist with department initiatives focused on operational efficiency and knowledge sharing.
\n

Basic Qualifications:

\n
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in R&D Tax Credit and tax incentives within a professional services firm.
\n
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in business, accounting, economics, or a science/engineering related field.
\n
• Proven expertise in R&D tax credit qualification and client interaction.
\n
• Strong research abilities with comprehensive knowledge of tax law, regulations, and industry updates.
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
\n
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n
• Experience with Excel, preferably advanced
\n
• Advanced degree (MBA, JD, LLM) is highly preferred.
\n
